An Oyster may or may not contain pearls when it is opened. An opened oyster becomes either an Oyster pearl, Oyster pearls or an Empty oyster. Usually a non-empty oyster contains only 1 pearl, although on rare ocassions they can contain 3 pearls . Pearls of any kind are useful in the Fletching skill, as they can be used to make Pearl bolt tips by using a Chisel on them, requiring 41 Fletching.
