You can talk to him to learn about Demon Flash Mobs, although it is not required to participate. After completing at least one Demon Raid, you can receive the book Malleus daemoniorum from him. Obtaining this text is a requirement for the Master quest cape. See Tips and Tricks to obtaining the Master Quest Cape for assistance obtaining the Master quest cape.

He is also part of the part of the Mod Deg trading sequence. You will need to trade him Ruined essence for a Creepy doll . From here you will need to see Wizard Chambers to continue.
