The Mysterious Old Man is a retired random event character, now found in his house in northern Draynor Village. Speaking to him you can learn about all the different random event characters added back into Runescape. Using the "Why mention abductions?" option will make the Mysterious Old Man summon Evil Bob who will the teleport him away. While the Mysterious Old Man is away you can get into his basement, which houses a lot of old parts from the different random events that are now retired. The three letters he mentions to summon Evil Bob is also the Fairy Ring code used to get to him.
