Introduction:
First of all, start by talking to Gianne jnr. You can find him on the second floor of the Grand Tree, north west side. If you have not learned how to prepare any Gnome meals, please read below to begin. Otherwise you can jump to training to continue.
Before you can start delivering Aluft Aloft's orders, you will need to learn how to prepare them. Some training is thus required, which you will get from Aluft Gianne snr. for the dishes and from Blurberry for the cocktails.
Before you can start cooking gnome food and prepare gnome cocktails, you will need to be trained by Aluft Gianne snr. (dishes) and Blurberry (cocktails) in the first part of the Gnome Restaurant mingame.
Hudo's Grocery Shop and Cooking Accessories
The place to buy your ingredients for gnome cooking is Hudo's grocery shop. Hudo's shop is frequently replenished, so you'll never fall short of supplies, which cost between 1 and 10 gp. He also sells tools, but you can get them for free from its cabinet (see below).
Hudo's room also has two Gnome cookers to cook your gnome food, a cocktail shaker on the table (useful mainly for the Gnome Restaurant minigame) and a kitchen cabinet with free tools:
Secrets of the gnome cooking are revealed in Gianne's cook book, which you get from Aluft Gianne snr. at the start of your training or buy from Hudo afterwards. You can also find the book in the bookshelves of your Player-owned house.
There are 13 different possible gnome dishes, which are divided into three varieties:

Note: You may have already trained in gnome cooking before the release of the Gnome Restaurant Mini-Game. In such a case, you can proceed to the Delivery part.
Speak to Aluft Gianne snr. for training in Gnome cooking and to Blurberry for cocktail training. Both will ask you to make certain drinks/dishes and will give you the necessary raw materials. Once you have finished a dish or drink, they will then taste your creation. If it is correctly made, you will then be given another task. After you have successfully completed both training sessions, you will then be able to start the minigame.
For recipes, see the Gnome Cooking and Bartending special report.
You can find him just east of the Gianne jnr.
Aluft Gianne snr. will ask you to make:
- Toad Crunchies (10 Cooking)
- Choc Chip Crunchies ( 16 Cooking)
- Toad Batta (26 Cooking)
- Cheese and Tomato Batta (29 Cooking)
Small note: After you make all of the things Aluft Gianne snr. has asked you to make, he will give you 100 Gianne dough for you to use in the future.
You can find him on the South-east side of the second floor of the Grand Tree.
Blurberry will ask you to make:
- Fruit Blast (6 Cooking)
- Pineapple Punch (8 Cooking)
- Wizard Blizzard (18 Cooking)
- Short Green Guy (20 Cooking)
Talk to Gianne jnr. after completing the training part.
He will offer you to help delivering food and drinks to Gnomes. (For recipes, see the Gnome Cooking and Bartending special report.) You can choose between an easy or a hard delivery.
If you choose an easy delivery, you will have 5 minutes to get the required order to the recipient. The recipient will always be located in the Grand Tree vicinity.
If you choose a hard delivery, you will have 10 minutes to fulfill the order, but the recipient will be farther away. Advanced transportation techniques will often be required to get the task done in time, including gliders, teleport runes, spirit trees, etc.
Aluft then proceeds describing the mission:
and gives a hint on where the recipient can be found.
Once an order has been described, you can choose to reject it (e.g. if you don't have access to the recipient's location or you don't have the cooking level required), but you will then have to wait until you can get another delivery of the same level of difficulty (5 minutes for a hard delivery, 2 minutes for an easy one).
As soon as Gianne jnr. starts describing the order, you will receive an Aluft aloft box in your inventory. You can click on it to get a reminder of the required item and the time left.
(Note that the box is droppable and you can get a new one from Gianne jnr., but this does NOT release you from your duty and the delivery time continues to count down.)
Every minute, a message displays in your chat box to tell you how much time is left.
You can also click on the Aluft Aloft box to check your order (recipient, dish/cocktail, and time left).
If you fail to fulfill your order within the allotted time, the Aluft Aloft box disappears from your inventory. You can now go back and receive a different order.
NOTE: The timer continues to countdown even after you log out!
Delivery items can be made in advance. There are 20 possible items to deliver, which takes a lot of bank space, but this method offers a valuable time gain.
-
Most of the ingredients can be bought in the grand tree from Hudo and Heckel Funch. The rest can be found around the Stronghold swamp or stolen from Gnomes (King worms and Swamp toads).
-
Time is short: be as light as possible to save your energy (don't wear armor or heavy objects). Boots of lightness are highly advised.
-
You will fail your order if you log out and in after your time limit is over (time does not stop if you log out)
-
You can make the items in advance so as to be ready for your order. When Gianne jnr. assigns you an order, you can go to the bank, withdraw the item and go and deliver it. Not only is this faster, but it is much easier.

Gnome cocktail making all happens in in the southeast corner of the second floor of the Grand Tree.
Blurberry bar
Blurberry' barmen, in the southeast corner of the second floor of the Grand Tree, sell all varieties of Cocktails, but these can't be used for the Gnome Restaurant mini-game, nor for your own cooking experience obviously. Blurberry himself is the other person to speak to when you start training.
Heckel Funch
The place to buy your ingredients from for gnome cocktails is Heckel Funch's Fine Groceries, east of the Blurberry Bar. Heckel Funch's shop is frequently replenished, so you'll never fall short of supplies, which cost between 2 and 10 gp.
Cocktail glasses can be picked for free on the ground in Heckel Funch's shop and near the range, south of the Blurberry bar. A Cocktail shaker respawn is to be found on Hudo's kitchen table.
Some cocktails requires warming up, for which you can use the range south of the bar.
Introduction
Secrets of Gnome cocktails are revealed in the Cocktail Guide, which you get from Blurberry at the start of your training, buy from Heckel Funch afterwards, or obtain from a bookshelf in your Player-owned house.
Notes:
- Until the cocktail is finished, each successive operation will end in a message indicating the next step(s).
- At each stage of the process, the shaker then the cocktail glass will have their name, options and/or colors changed to reflect the work done. You can examine them to get info on the next step.
Mixing
Get a cocktail shaker, the necessary ingredients, and click on the shaker (Mix-cocktail).
Chose the cocktail you want to prepare. Those for which you have both the level and the necessary ingredients will be highlighted in green ; also, when you point to a cocktail, you can see from the window below the ingredients that you already have (highlighted in green) and those you still need to get.You won't be able to start making a cocktail unless you have the required level and ingredients.
The name of the shaker changes into 'Mixed (name of the chosen cocktail)', while a message tells you what's left to do:
Pouring
Get a cocktail glass and, in some cases, the extra ingredients. Click on the shaker (Mixed cocktail) to pour the cocktail in your glass. The glass changes into a 'Mixed (name of the chosen cocktail)' and you get your empty shaker back, while a message tells you what's left to do.
Proceed as required, adding ingredients and/or heating the glass (or vice versa).
Adding ingredients
If the next step is to add ingredients, your glass will have 'Add-ingredients' as its first option. Get the necessary ingredients and click on the glass to add them, which will not succeed if you don't have all the ingredients in your inventory.
Heating
If the next step is to warm up the cocktail, just use it on the nearby range.
